Lucite® L extends exclusive
Microban® protection to its clear
Cast Acrylic Sheet line of products

An industry leader in acrylics, Lucite first introduced exclusive Microban antimicrobial protection to its spa line in 1998. We’ve now expanded Microban to our clear cast acrylic sheet to be used in a myriad of medical and healthrelated applications including facial, glove and paper towel dispensers; test tube holders, medical and dental equipment; and food service sneeze guards, just to name a few.

Ideal for health-oriented uses, Lucite clear acrylic sheet with Microban antimicrobial product protection built-in to Lucite acrylic during the manufacturing process inhibits the growth of microbes such as bacteria, mold and mildew that can cause stains, odors and deterioration of the product.

“We are proud to offer fabricators and manufacturers the top-of-the-line in antimicrobial protection with Microban when it comes to their end-line, consumer-oriented products. In an increasingly savvy marketplace, the Microban brand in partnership with our Lucite brand, sets us apart,” Chris Robinson, sheet business manager for Lucite International says.

"Particularly for the medical and food service industries where bacteria are a serious health concern, the Microban brand brings tremendous added value and confidence.”

Flying High:
Lucite® now meets aviation standards
for non-military use

Passengers on airplanes and helicopters across the country and around the world will have an even more crystal clear view in flight, and of their destinations, now that Lucite’s acrylic sheet product meets aviation standards for non-military use.

Lucite aviation-grade acrylic for non-military use is available primarily for the fabrication of aviation windows and windshields. “We’re pleased to now be able to offer our Lucite product to our customers for aviation applications,” Chris Robinson, sheet business manager for Lucite International says.

“In an increasingly competitive marketplace Lucite continues to move forward with innovations and improvements to our products for a broad range of uses while continuing to provide the durability and high standard of quality that are hallmarks of the Lucite brand,” Robinson adds.
